Born in New York and raised in Pompano Beach, Florida, Jody Straher has over 30 years of residential loan management experience encompassing sales management, underwriting, loan processing, closing, construction administration and private banking. Her experience includes Conventional, Jumbo, and FHA, VA, USDA and Reverse Mortgage lending. Jody moved to Tavares, FL in 2004 with her husband, Bill Straher. In 2015, Jody decided to return to the role she enjoyed most by joining her husband, Bill, at Fairway Independent Mortgage to work directly with the consumer. Ultimately, what makes their partnership special is their shared values and commitment to what really matters to their clients: communication, trust, knowledge and timeliness. Jody is happiest when she is helping clients achieve their goals. As a Reverse Mortgage Planner, that can be solutions to age in place, improve monthly cash flow, make home improvements, relocate closer to family or simply sleep better knowing they have access to funds for an emergency. Several members of Jody’s family have benefited with a Reverse mortgage. She is passionate about educating consumers and financial advisors on the program.
