I’ve spent nearly three decades in the mortgage industry, helping clients make smart, informed decisions about one of their biggest financial assets—their home. I started my career in 1997, and over the years I’ve seen just about every type of market and scenario. That experience gives me a steady hand when guiding clients, especially when the stakes are high and the decisions aren’t always straightforward.
In 2020, I expanded my practice to include reverse mortgage strategies, with a specific focus on retirees and those approaching retirement. What I’ve found is that many homeowners are equity-rich but still trying to solve income or liquidity challenges using only their investment portfolios. When used correctly, home equity can become a powerful tool—one that adds flexibility, improves cash flow, and helps protect other assets over the long term. My role is to help clients understand how and when to use that tool in a way that actually supports their broader financial plan—not just a one-time transaction.
I also work closely with financial advisors, Realtors, and other professionals who serve the 55+ market. The best outcomes happen when everyone is aligned and looking at the full picture. Whether it’s coordinating with an advisor or helping a client think through timing, tax implications, or long-term goals, I aim to be a steady, knowledgeable partner in the process.
Outside of work, I’m a pretty active guy. I’m an avid tennis and disc golf player, and I take any chance I can get to be outdoors—whether that’s hiking, traveling, or spending time at the range. I’m also involved at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Greenville, which has been an important part of my life and community. Most importantly, I value time with family and try to keep life balanced between work, faith, and the things I genuinely enjoy.
