My name is James Ward. I am originally from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, once known as the Steel capital of the world; and I now reside in the nation's energy capital of Houston Texas. I moved to Houston in 2003.
I am a graduate from the Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Real Estate/Finance. Upon graduating in 1988, I became a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser, valuating and evaluating both commercial and residential properties throughout the United States. In 1999, I decided to pursue a career in mortgage banking and originating as the result of my passion to help and educate people about real estate and residential mortgages given my degree of knowledge in real estate and financing.
My experience in the mortgage industry began in 1999 as Founder, President and co-owner of a Mortgage Company in Pittsburgh. I resigned my duties with the Company in 2003 as a result of my relocation to the City of Houston. In January 2004, I joined Fairway Independent Mortgage Corp as Branch Manager of the Houston Texas “Upper Kirby District” office. My motto is simple - treat people how you want to be treated and the seeds you sow will be your reward.
As a Certified Reverse Mortgage Specialist and Certified Mortgage Advisor with Fairway IMC, my holistic approach to educating my clients about mortgage financing helps my clients in choosing the best mortgage solution for the refinance or purchase of their home given their "short" and "long" term over-all financial goals.
I believe my experiences in all facets of real estate have provided me extensive knowledge in mortgage lending.
