I started my real estate career in 2005, and after many interesting twists and turns, I am now 100% focused as a Reverse Mortgage Specialist. I have always had a desire to help people achieve their financial goals, and my current role allows me to do just that, using home equity. I am thrilled to be working with Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, offering reverse mortgages for both refinance and purchase.
There are two main elements that fuel my motivation in this field: 1) educating people on the often-misunderstood reverse mortgage product, and 2) helping people create solutions to achieve their financial goal or solve a potential shortfall. It is a wonderful experience when clients have that “ah-ha” moment—when they perceive the product for what it is, not what they thought it was. Additionally, I enjoy delivering training to Realtors, Financial Planners, CPAs and other business partners about the reverse mortgage industry, products and its uses.
Being detail-oriented and identifying “red flags” are important traits that help lead one to success in this field. By handling any red flags early on we can offer a smooth loan closing. Many of my clients are people over the age of 60, who own a home, and have at least 50 percent home equity. Additionally for those with no current mortgage, they are a great candidate for the Reverse Line of Credit.
